My name is Maddie. I'm an Atlanta native and moved around a lot growing up, which I think ultimately cultivated my love for travel. I pursued journalism and design during my college years, which paved the way for my pursuit as a freelance photographer. Self-admittedly, I’ve always been a bit of a sentimental soul. Growing up, I'd spent hours sifting through my parent’s old film scans and looking back on family vacation photos. I loved the magical feeling of tangibly holding a memory. My hope is that the photographs I capture will serve as reminders of the goodness all around you.

I discovered my love for photography at a very early age. My first portraits were taken on a hot pink Barbie® polaroid camera, and I later learned how to develop film in a darkroom. As a kid, I spent hours upon hours going through my parents old photographs—listening to the stories behind each of them. I never realized my hobby could become a career until after college when I took my first job as an art director at a magazine. I fell in love with planning photoshoots, styling, and directing to create bold imagery. My experience in print journalism and design truly served as the catalyst for this business. While I may have updated my toolkit from that first 90s polaroid, storytelling is still the root of my passion.

Your photographs become more meaningful with time. They are how you’ll remember not only what your wedding looked like, but who you were, who you loved, and what this season of your life felt like.
My approach is a balance of observation and gentle direction. I want to capture the moments as they naturally unfold, while also thoughtfully creating beautiful keepsakes along the way. I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can be fully present for each of my couples and give every wedding the attention it deserves.
